Best Uncensored AI Image Generator in 2026: 6 Tools Compared
By Marcus, AI generation expert at OFMAI · Updated
Plans from $9.99/month.
If the images have to show the same person from one shot to the next, OFMAI is the best uncensored AI image generator in 2026: you create one character once, then every later image reuses that character's look and body, at 3 credits per 18+ photo. If you want no vendor filter at all and own a capable graphics card, a local setup is still the only route with no remote moderation layer. For importing your own checkpoints without a GPU it is Mage, for privacy and general-purpose work Venice, for model and LoRA variety Civitai, and for anime illustration NovelAI.
Those are six different answers because "uncensored" is doing two jobs in this question. One is latitude: how much legal adult work the tool refuses. The other is ownership: whether you are renting someone else's filter or running the weights yourself. Round-ups usually score the first and ignore the second, and almost none of them score the thing that decides whether a set of images is sellable - whether the same person comes back tomorrow.
So this ranking weighs five criteria, character continuity among them, and prices one image on each option where the provider publishes enough to price it. OFMAI is 18+ and allows only legal, consensual adult content; uncensored here means fewer refusals on legal adult work, never an absence of rules.

Plans from $9.99/month.
Which uncensored AI image generator is best in 2026?
OFMAI - 4.4/5. Content latitude: minimal filters on legal adult content, with hard permanent limits. Same character across images: yes, one character created once and reused in every generation. Model choice: none, the studio handles it. Cost of one 18+ photo: 3 credits, so 10 photos on the $9.99 Starter plan and 333 on Agency. GPU: none, it runs in a browser. Starting price: $9.99 a month for 30 credits. Best for: one consistent character across a whole set.
A local setup - 4.1/5. Content latitude: whatever the weights you downloaded allow, with no remote moderation layer, because inference runs on your own machine. Same character across images: only if you train and maintain your own LoRA. Model choice: total. Cost of one image: nothing per image, you pay in hardware, electricity and time. GPU: mandatory - renderreport's October 2026 round-up puts common open-weight checkpoints at a card with 8GB of video memory and the install at about an afternoon. Starting price: free software. Best for: no vendor filter at all.
Mage - 3.6/5. Content latitude: its own pricing page, read in October 2026, says it allows a degree of creative expression and prohibits illegal content, including material involving minors and deepfakes. Same character across images: no persona is carried between prompts. Model choice: broad, with custom checkpoint and LoRA import on the upper plans. Cost of one image: metered in Gems, with the quota set by the plan. GPU: none. Starting price: $10 a month for Basic with 500 Gems, $30 for Pro with 1,500 Gems and quality enhancement up to 2K, $60 for Pro Plus with 3,500 Gems and custom checkpoint, LoRA and textual-inversion import, $200 for Max with 15,000 Gems (its own pricing page, October 2026). Best for: importing your own checkpoints without a GPU.
Venice - 3.2/5. Content latitude: adjustable safety settings with hard legal bans in place; per renderreport in October 2026, only Pro accounts can switch the mature filter off. Same character across images: no. Model choice: several models in one account. Cost of one image: covered by a daily allowance rather than billed per image. GPU: none. Starting price: free tier at 15 image prompts and 10 text prompts a day on base models, Pro $18 a month with up to 1,000 images a day, Pro Plus $68, Max $200 (its own pricing page, September 2026). Best for: privacy and general-purpose use.
Civitai - 3.1/5. Content latitude: narrower than its reputation suggests - 404 Media reported in April 2025 that it banned several fetish categories and demonetised real-person likenesses under payment-processor pressure, and Decrypt reported in May 2025 that its card-processing relationship ended and Buzz purchases moved to cryptocurrency; we found no report of either being reversed as of October 2026. Same character across images: reachable with your own LoRA, including LoRAs trained on the site. Model choice: the largest community catalogue there is. Cost of one image: priced in Buzz, so it is arithmetic you redo per model and per setting. GPU: none for on-site generation. Starting price: a free tier plus paid memberships - per Somake's Civitai review, last updated June 2026, Bronze is $10 a month, Silver $25 and Gold $50, on its separate .green site. Best for: model and LoRA variety.
NovelAI - 3.0/5. Content latitude: permissive on fiction and illustration; Venice's own 2026 round-up of unrestricted generators files it as anime-focused and fiction-permissive. Same character across images: it publishes character positioning and consistency controls, which is closer than most of this list gets without a LoRA. Model choice: its own models only. Cost of one image: spends Anlas, which its site says can also be bought on demand without a subscription. GPU: none. Starting price: its own site, read in October 2026, says subscriptions start at $10 a month. Best for: anime and illustration.
Every competitor figure above carries its source and its month in the Sources section at the end. Where a provider publishes no number, this page says so rather than filling the gap.
What does "uncensored" actually mean in 2026?
It means fewer refusals on legal adult content, not no rules. Every hosted option on this list - OFMAI included - bans minors, including synthetic depictions presented as adults, bans non-consensual content, and bans using a real person's likeness without their consent. A product that advertises otherwise is a reason to walk away, not a feature.
Only a local setup removes the remote moderation layer, because the model runs on hardware you own and nothing leaves your disk. What it does not remove is the law, or the limits baked into the weights you chose to download. And it moves two jobs onto you that hosted tools absorb: the install, and keeping a recurring character alive through your own LoRA training.
The second meaning of the word is the one that matters commercially. A generator that says yes to the prompt but hands you a different woman every time has not solved the problem: a set of images meant to read as one person is only sellable if the person is the same. That is why continuity is weighted at 25% below, above cost and above control.
How were these ranked (October 2026)?
Five weighted criteria, applied to all six. Content latitude, 30% - how much legal adult work goes through without a refusal. Character continuity, 25% - whether the same look and the same body come back across a set. Cost predictability, 20% - whether you can price one image before you click. Control, 15% - model choice, LoRAs, inpainting, settings. Friction, 10% - browser, install, GPU, payment. Each section opens with its score out of 5 and the five marks behind it, so you can re-weight them for your own case: if you already own a fast card, friction is worth less to you than the 10% given here, and the local setup wins outright.
This is an editorial ranking, not a lab benchmark. We ran no standardised prompt battery against competitors and publish no pass rates. Competitor facts come from each provider's own pricing or product pages and from dated third-party reporting, with the month named in the sentence; anything we could not check we left out rather than labelling it unconfirmed. We scored OFMAI on the same five criteria and published every mark, including the two where it does not come first.
Prices, plan gates and content policies move fast in this category - Civitai's own history is the proof. Check the provider's live pricing page before you budget.
1. OFMAI - best for one consistent character across a whole set
Score 4.4/5 - latitude 4, continuity 5, cost predictability 5, control 3, friction 5. OFMAI is a hosted studio built around one persistent character. You build the character from 3 reference photos (portrait, front and back) with no training, or design one from a text description, and it is ready in minutes. Every image, image edit, short video and voice note afterwards reuses that character, so the same look, body and morphology carry across the whole library instead of being re-rolled at each prompt.
Cost is a published formula rather than a mystery, which is why it takes the top mark on predictability. An 18+ photo is 3 credits and an image edit is 2. That is 10 photos a month on Starter at $9.99, 33 on Pro at $24.99, 100 on Business at $49.99 and 333 on Agency at $149.99 - about 1.00 per photo at the entry plan and 0.45 at the top one. Annual billing takes 25% off, top-ups sit on top of a plan, purchased credits never expire, and failed generations are refunded automatically.
Building the character is a cost before your first image: 12 credits for a character, or 22 for one created from scratch together with its 18+ version. That is the honest trade of this approach - you pay up front for continuity you then get for free on every image.
Why it ranks first, and why not on latitude: latitude is the heaviest criterion at 30% and OFMAI takes 4 out of 5 on it, because minimal filters on legal adult content is not the same thing as no filter. It ranks first on the other side of the ledger - 5 out of 5 on continuity (one character, created once), on cost predictability (a published per-image price) and on friction (a browser, no GPU, no install) - and only 3 on control, because you do not pick checkpoints or load LoRAs here.
Pros: one character reused across images, edits, video and voice; a per-image price you can compute before clicking; nothing to install and no GPU; purchased credits never expire; failed generations refunded; exports for the platforms you already post on.
Cons: no checkpoint choice, no LoRAs, no node graph, so less latitude over the model than any local stack; the character costs credits before the first image; not free, plans start at $9.99 a month; subscription credits renew monthly rather than accumulating; not a CRM, not a scheduler and not a companion chat app, so publishing and messaging stay elsewhere.
Verdict: the one to pick when a set of images has to read as one person, month after month, on a budget you can forecast.
2. A local setup - best for no vendor filter at all
Score 4.1/5 - latitude 5, continuity 3, cost predictability 5, control 5, friction 1. Running open-weight checkpoints yourself is the only genuinely unfiltered route on this list. Inference happens on your machine, so there is no remote moderation layer, prompts and source files never leave your disk, and you decide which weights to run and when to update them. Per-image cost after the hardware is zero, which is why it shares the top mark on predictability.
The bill is paid in hardware and hours. renderreport's October 2026 round-up puts common open-weight image checkpoints at a graphics card with 8GB of video memory and the initial install at roughly an afternoon; third-party 2026 guides put a card capable of video work at 16GB or more, with capable GPUs at roughly $1,000 to $5,000 to buy or $0.50 to $2 an hour to rent in the cloud. Then there is maintenance: drivers, Python, custom nodes and weights, and a workflow that breaks when one of them updates.
Continuity only reaches 3 out of 5 because it is achievable but it is your project: a recurring character means training and maintaining your own LoRA, and keeping it working across checkpoint upgrades.
Pros: no vendor filter and no files leaving your machine; no per-image cost; any checkpoint, any LoRA, any workflow; free software.
Cons: a capable GPU is mandatory; install and maintenance are real work; a consistent character is your own LoRA to train and keep alive; no voice, no video pipeline and no export tooling unless you build them.
Verdict: best for technically confident users with a decent card who want every knob and accept being their own operations team.
3. Mage - best for importing your own checkpoints without a GPU
Score 3.6/5 - latitude 4, continuity 2, cost predictability 4, control 4, friction 5. Mage is a hosted studio with a broad model catalogue, where generation is metered in Gems and the quota comes with the plan - so the monthly ceiling is a published number rather than a guess, which is what earns it 4 out of 5 on predictability. Its own pricing page, read in October 2026, lists Basic at $10 a month with 500 Gems, Pro at $30 with 1,500 Gems and quality enhancement up to 2K, Pro Plus at $60 with 3,500 Gems plus import of your own checkpoints, LoRAs, textual inversions and Lycoris, and Max at $200 with 15,000 Gems. The same page says it allows a degree of creative expression while prohibiting illegal content, including material involving minors and deepfakes.
Its weak mark is continuity: nothing is carried from one prompt to the next unless you bring a LoRA, and LoRA import sits on the $60 plan.
Pros: a Gem quota published per plan, so the monthly ceiling is knowable before you subscribe; a broad catalogue with inpainting and refine; custom checkpoint and LoRA import on the upper plans; no GPU.
Cons: no persistent character out of the box; the import you would need to build one is two plans up; Gems and plan gates make the real limits plan-dependent; no entry below $10 a month.
Verdict: best when you want a hosted catalogue and your own checkpoints on someone else's hardware, against a monthly Gem quota you can read off the plan - and do not need the same person twice.
4. Venice - best for privacy and general-purpose use
Score 3.2/5 - latitude 4, continuity 1, cost predictability 4, control 3, friction 5. Venice is a privacy-first platform covering chat, images, video and audio in one browser account, with adjustable safety settings and hard legal bans still in place. Per its own pricing page in September 2026, the free tier gives 15 image prompts and 10 text prompts a day on base models with no card, Pro is $18 a month with up to 1,000 images a day, Pro Plus $68 and Max $200. Per renderreport in October 2026, switching the mature filter off requires a Pro account.
At $18 a month for up to 1,000 images a day it is excellent value for one-off generation. It takes the lowest continuity mark on this page because nothing at all is carried between images - which is simply not what the product is for.
Pros: one account for uncensored chat, images, video and audio; a strong stated privacy posture; a real free daily allowance; a flat monthly price with a high daily ceiling.
Cons: no persistent character whatsoever; the mature filter is behind the paid tier; images are one feature among many rather than the centre of the product; behaviour, and therefore results, shift with the model you pick.
Verdict: best for privacy-minded users who want one private account for everything and generate images one at a time.
5. Civitai - best for model and LoRA variety
Score 3.1/5 - latitude 3, continuity 3, cost predictability 2, control 5, friction 3. Nothing matches Civitai's catalogue of community checkpoints and LoRAs. Per Somake's Civitai review, last updated June 2026, its cloud generator does text-to-image and image-to-image with ControlNet, inpainting, LoRA stacking and batch generation, LoRAs can be trained on its servers with no local GPU at a cost in Buzz that depends on steps and base model, and a free tier sits under paid memberships at $10 a month for Bronze, $25 for Silver and $50 for Gold. On control it is the only hosted option here that earns 5 out of 5, and that on-site LoRA training is the hosted route to a recurring character without owning a GPU.
Latitude is where its reputation has outrun the facts. 404 Media reported in April 2025 that Civitai banned several fetish categories and demonetised content using real people's likenesses after pressure from payment processors; Decrypt reported in May 2025 that its credit-card processing relationship ended, after which Buzz purchases moved to cryptocurrency. Per that June 2026 Somake review, Buzz was split into three colours in October 2025, with the crypto-bought variety on civitai.com and card or online-wallet payment confined to its separate .green site. As of October 2026 we found no reporting that the 2025 content tightening has been reversed - that split payment path is also why friction scores 3 rather than 4.
Pros: the largest open model and LoRA catalogue anywhere; on-site generation and on-site LoRA training, so a consistent character is reachable without a GPU; a usable free tier; deep control over models and settings.
Cons: a steep learning curve - picking models, managing Buzz, assembling a workflow; per-image cost is Buzz arithmetic that changes with the model and the settings; content rules have tightened and categories have been removed; which Buzz you can buy, and whether you can pay by card at all, depends on which of its two sites you are on, per that June 2026 review; no video-with-voice pipeline and no voice cloning.
Verdict: best for power users who want maximum model variety and are willing to do the model shopping and the Buzz maths.
6. NovelAI - best for anime and illustration
Score 3.0/5 - latitude 3, continuity 3, cost predictability 2, control 3, friction 5. NovelAI is a hosted generator that leans into anime and illustration rather than photorealism, and Venice's own 2026 round-up of unrestricted generators files it as anime-focused and fiction-permissive. Its own site, read in October 2026, says subscriptions start at $10 a month, that Anlas - its image currency - can also be bought on demand without a subscription, and that there are no limits on commercial use. It lists inpainting, Director Tools, a built-in canvas, and character positioning and consistency controls.
Those consistency controls are why it scores 3 rather than 1 on continuity: it is one of the few hosted options that treats a recurring character as a feature at all. Predictability scores 2 because the site publishes a starting price but no per-image Anlas rate, so the cost of one image is not something you can fix before you start.
Pros: a hosted permissive generator for illustration, with no commercial-use limits; character positioning and consistency controls built in; Anlas available on demand without a subscription; inpainting, canvas and Director Tools included.
Cons: illustration-first, so it is the wrong tool for photoreal output; its own models only, no external checkpoints or LoRAs; no published per-image rate; no video and no voice.
Verdict: best for anime and illustration work where the house style is the point.
What does one uncensored image actually cost?
Price one image, then multiply by the attempts a keepable result takes - do not compare monthly prices. Of the six, only two let you do that arithmetic from the outside. On OFMAI an 18+ photo is 3 credits, which is about 1.00 at the $9.99 entry plan and 0.45 at the $149.99 top plan, with an edit at 2 credits when a nearly-right image needs fixing rather than re-rolling. On a local setup it is zero after the hardware.
The other four price a ceiling instead of an image. Venice sells a daily allowance - up to 1,000 images a day on Pro at $18 a month, per its September 2026 pricing page. Mage sells a monthly Gem quota, from 500 Gems at $10 a month, per its October 2026 pricing page. Civitai and NovelAI sell a currency, Buzz and Anlas, without publishing a per-image rate you can read off the page, so the real cost depends on the model and the settings you land on.
Both shapes can be the cheaper one. A ceiling wins if you generate constantly and nothing has to be reused. A per-image price wins when you need to budget a defined set and know in advance what a hundred on-model photos will cost: on OFMAI that is 300 credits, exactly one month of Business at $49.99 - so edits and video that month need a top-up on top, and fifty photos instead of a hundred leave 150 credits for them.
How should you choose between them?
Start from whether the same person has to come back. If yes - a persona, a page, a brand - the choice is between OFMAI and training your own LoRA, locally or on Civitai. Everything else on this list will hand you a different person on the next prompt, however permissive it is.
If nothing has to be reused, buy latitude and a ceiling instead: a local setup for no vendor filter at all, Venice for privacy and a free daily allowance, Mage for a hosted catalogue you can load your own checkpoints into, Civitai if the community catalogue is the point, NovelAI if the output is illustration.
Then check two things before you pay for volume. Generate two images that are supposed to show the same person and put them side by side; if the body changes, nothing else on the feature list matters. And read the provider's current content policy rather than a round-up's summary of it - Civitai's 2025 tightening is the standing reminder that these rules move, and this page will age too.
What is allowed, and what never is?
OFMAI is 18+ and allows only legal, consensual adult content. The permanent limits do not bend: no minors and no synthetic depictions presented as adults, no non-consensual content, and no real person's likeness used without their consent. Automated detection and human moderation enforce those lines, and no setting unlocks them.
That is a constraint of the whole category rather than a quirk of one product. Non-consensual sexual imagery of real people is illegal or civilly actionable in many countries, and every serious tool here bans it too - Mage's own pricing page names minors and deepfakes explicitly. Separately, each platform you publish on sets its own AI-content rules, so check them before posting.
OFMAI is operated by Mantra AI Technologies SAS, 99 Avenue Achille Peretti, 92200 Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.
When should you pick something other than OFMAI?
Pick a local setup if you want no vendor filter at all, if you want to choose every checkpoint and LoRA, or if prompts and files must never leave your machine. No hosted studio, OFMAI included, can match that.
Pick Mage if importing your own checkpoints onto someone else's hardware matters more than continuity. Pick Venice if your main need is one private account for uncensored chat, images and occasional video. Pick Civitai if the catalogue is the point and you will do the Buzz maths. Pick NovelAI if the output is anime or illustration.
And pick none of them if what you actually need is a CRM, an AI chatter or a scheduler - OFMAI is not any of those either. It makes the content; selling and posting happen elsewhere.
Pick OFMAI when the persona is the product: the same character, recognisable across a whole library of images, with video and voice in the same studio, on a monthly budget you can forecast.
Final picks
One consistent character across a whole set: OFMAI, 4.4/5. No vendor filter at all, on hardware you own: a local setup, 4.1/5. Importing your own checkpoints without a GPU: Mage, 3.6/5. Privacy and general-purpose use: Venice, 3.2/5. Model and LoRA variety: Civitai, 3.1/5. Anime and illustration: NovelAI, 3.0/5.
If you take one line away: decide whether the same person has to come back before you compare anything else, price a single image rather than a monthly plan, and read the live content policy rather than any round-up's version of it, this one included.

OFMAI figures - credits, plan prices and what the plans include - come from our own product and billing code as of October 2026: an 18+ photo at 3 credits, an image edit at 2, a character at 12 credits or 22 with its 18+ version; plans from $9.99 a month for 30 credits to $149.99 for 1000, with 25% off on annual billing; purchased credits that never expire while subscription credits renew monthly; failed generations refunded automatically.
Venice - its own pricing page as read in September 2026 for the free tier at 15 image prompts and 10 text prompts a day on base models, Pro at $18 a month with up to 1,000 images a day, Pro Plus at $68 and Max at $200; and its own 2026 round-up of unrestricted image generators for its adjustable safety settings and for its description of NovelAI as anime-focused and fiction-permissive. renderreport's October 2026 round-up of uncensored text-to-image generators for the mature filter being available only on Pro accounts.
Mage - its own pricing page as read in October 2026 for Basic at $10 a month with 500 Gems, Pro at $30 with 1,500 Gems and enhancement up to 2K, Pro Plus at $60 with 3,500 Gems and import of checkpoints, LoRAs, textual inversions and Lycoris, and Max at $200 with 15,000 Gems, and for its statement that it prohibits illegal content including material involving minors and deepfakes.
NovelAI - its own site as read in October 2026 for subscriptions starting at $10 a month, Anlas purchasable on demand without a subscription, no limits on commercial use, and the inpainting, Director Tools, canvas and character positioning and consistency controls. It publishes no per-image Anlas rate on that page, which is why this ranking gives it no per-image cost.
Civitai - 404 Media, April 2025, for the ban on several fetish categories and the demonetisation of real-person likenesses under payment-processor pressure; Decrypt, May 2025, for the end of its credit-card processing relationship and the move of Buzz purchases to cryptocurrency. Somake's Civitai review, last updated June 2026, for the cloud generator's ControlNet, inpainting, LoRA stacking and batch generation, for on-site LoRA training priced in Buzz by steps and base model, for the October 2025 split of Buzz into three colours with card or online-wallet payment confined to its .green site, and for the membership tiers at $10 a month for Bronze, $25 for Silver and $50 for Gold on top of a free tier. As of October 2026 we found no reporting that the 2025 content tightening has been reversed. Its own pricing page was not reachable to us in October 2026, which is why every Civitai figure here is attributed to dated third-party reporting rather than to the provider.
A local setup - renderreport's October 2026 round-up for common open-weight image checkpoints needing a card with 8GB of video memory and for an install of about an afternoon; third-party 2026 guides for a 16GB-or-larger card for video work and for capable GPUs at roughly $1,000 to $5,000 to buy or $0.50 to $2 an hour to rent. Requirements move with every checkpoint release, so treat them as an order of magnitude and read the model card of whatever you download. Prices, plan gates and content policies in this category change faster than any round-up including this one: check each provider's live pricing page before you commit money, and never generate sexual imagery of a real person without their consent or of anyone under 18.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best uncensored AI image generator in 2026?
It depends on whether the same person has to come back. For a whole set of images showing one consistent character, OFMAI: you build the character once and every image reuses its look and body, at 3 credits per 18+ photo, from $9.99 a month, with failed generations refunded automatically. For no vendor filter at all, run open-weight checkpoints locally on your own graphics card. For importing your own checkpoints without a GPU, Mage; for privacy and general-purpose work, Venice; for model and LoRA variety, Civitai; for anime illustration, NovelAI.
Is there a truly uncensored AI image generator with no rules?
No, and you should not want one. Only a local setup removes the remote moderation layer, because inference runs on your machine - but the law still applies, and the weights you download carry their own limits. Every hosted option here, OFMAI included, permanently bans minors and synthetic depictions presented as adults, non-consensual content, and any real person's likeness used without their consent. Uncensored means fewer refusals on legal adult work, not an absence of rules.
Is there a free uncensored AI image generator?
Partly. Venice publishes a free tier of 15 image prompts and 10 text prompts a day on base models with no card, per its own pricing page read in September 2026, though per renderreport in October 2026 turning the mature filter off needs a Pro account. Civitai has a free tier on top of its Buzz currency, per Somake's Civitai review, last updated June 2026. Local software is free but needs a graphics card. OFMAI has no free tier: paid plans start at $9.99 a month for 30 credits.
What does one uncensored AI image cost?
On OFMAI an 18+ photo is 3 credits and an image edit is 2, which works out at roughly 1.00 per photo on the $9.99 Starter plan and 0.45 on Agency at $149.99 - so 10 photos a month at the bottom and 333 at the top. On a local setup there is no per-image cost after the hardware. Venice, Mage, Civitai and NovelAI sell daily ceilings, monthly Gem quotas or a currency instead, so a per-image figure is not readable from their pages.
Can I keep the same character across every image?
Yes, if the tool is built around a character. On OFMAI you create one character from 3 reference photos - portrait, front and back - with no training, or design one from a text description, and every later image reuses that character, so the same look, body and morphology carry across the set. Elsewhere it means training and maintaining your own LoRA, locally or with Civitai's on-site training; NovelAI publishes character positioning and consistency controls, while Venice and Mage carry nothing between prompts.
Do I need a GPU for uncensored AI image generation?
Not for OFMAI, Venice, Mage, Civitai's on-site generation or NovelAI - those run in a browser on the provider's hardware. Yes for a local setup: renderreport's October 2026 round-up puts common open-weight checkpoints at a card with 8GB of video memory and the install at about an afternoon, and third-party 2026 guides price capable cards at roughly $1,000 to $5,000 to buy or $0.50 to $2 an hour to rent.
Which uncensored generator gives the most control over models?
A local setup, then Civitai. Locally you choose every checkpoint, LoRA and setting and update them on your own schedule. Civitai is the hosted option with the largest community catalogue, plus on-site LoRA training, ControlNet and inpainting, per Somake's Civitai review, last updated June 2026. Mage allows importing your own checkpoints, LoRAs and textual inversions on its $60 Pro Plus plan, per its own pricing page read in October 2026. OFMAI deliberately offers none of this: you get one consistent character instead of a model shelf.
Is Civitai still uncensored?
Less than its reputation suggests. 404 Media reported in April 2025 that Civitai banned several fetish categories and demonetised content using real people's likenesses after payment-processor pressure, and Decrypt reported in May 2025 that its credit-card processing relationship ended, after which Buzz purchases moved to cryptocurrency. As of October 2026 we found no reporting that either has been reversed. Read its current policy before planning work around it.
Is it legal to use an uncensored AI image generator?
Generating legal adult content between consenting adults is legal in most jurisdictions, and that is what OFMAI allows. What is not legal, in many countries, is sexual imagery of a real person made without their consent, and anything involving minors is banned outright everywhere and by every serious tool in this category. Each platform you publish on also sets its own AI-content rules, so check them before posting.
What happens if a generation fails?
On OFMAI a failed generation is refunded automatically, so a session of real attempts is not a gamble. On a local setup a failed render costs time and electricity rather than money. On the credit and currency-based options, check the provider's own policy, because a failed generation that still spends Buzz, Anlas or Gems changes the real cost per usable image.
