Does OnlyFans Allow AI-Generated Content If You Disclose It?

Yes. OnlyFans' Terms of Use do not ban AI-generated content; they impose a labelling duty on it. The rule is clause 20, "Transparency requirements", item (b), and it reads in full: "AI Generated content must comply with our Terms of Service and must be clearly and conspicuously captioned as AI Generated Content with a signifier such as #ai, or #AIGenerated." That is a quotation from onlyfans.com/terms, the terms published by OnlyFans' operator, Fenix International Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 10354575 - a page whose own footer reads "Last updated: August 2024" and which we read on 14 October 2026. Nowhere on that page is AI content prohibited, capped in volume or restricted to a content type, and there is no AI-specific approval queue. What clause 8 does reserve is a general right to "pre-screen, monitor, or reuse Content" - a right over everything anyone uploads, labelled or not, and not a queue your post has to clear before it goes live.

The catch is in the first half of the same sentence. AI content "must comply with our Terms of Service", so the label is additive, not a waiver: disclosing buys you nothing on identity verification, ownership, third-party consent or the Acceptable Use Policy. In practice the account still needs a verified human behind it - a valid ID and two photos of you, with further verification "any time we ask for it" under clause 6 - and that human stays personally responsible for every post under clause 8, even when an agency or a chatter runs the page.

One honest limit up front. The Acceptable Use Policy that the AI clause defers to is served behind a bot check: on 14 October 2026 it returned no policy text to curl, none to our automated page fetcher, and the Wayback Machine holds no snapshot of it at all, so this page covers the Terms of Use, which is where the AI rule actually lives, and tells you to open the Acceptable Use Policy in a browser yourself. OFMAI is the studio that makes the content, not the platform that hosts it: it does not post for you and it cannot label for you. OFMAI is 18+ and allows only legal, consensual content - no minors, no non-consensual content, no real person's likeness without their consent. And OnlyFans reserves the right to change any part of its terms without notice, so re-read the live page before you publish.

What the OnlyFans rule actually says

It is a caption requirement. The clause says "captioned" - not in your bio, not burned into the image as a watermark. Whatever else you do, the signifier belongs in the caption of the post itself.

"#ai, or #AIGenerated" are examples, not a closed list. The wording is "a signifier such as", so neither tag is mandatory and either one reads as compliant. What is not optional is that a reader can tell.

Only the signifier is required. Compare item (a) of the same clause, which governs paid advertising: that one demands a signifier and the name of the brand advertised and who paid for it. The AI rule repeats only the first half. You do not have to say which tool made the content - which is also why no tool name belongs in your caption.

"Clearly and conspicuously" is the standard, and it is the part people lose. A hashtag sitting thirty-eighth in a block of forty is a weak position to defend if the account is ever reviewed. Put it where a fan reads it.

It is worth naming what the page does not contain, because most of what circulates about OnlyFans and AI is invented. There is no ban, no volume cap, no restriction to particular content types and no AI-specific approval queue - only the general right, in clause 8, to pre-screen or monitor any content, which applies to every upload on the site. The words "deepfake" and "synthetic" do not appear on the page at all. The only other mention of AI is OnlyFans describing its own moderation tooling - classifiers and machine-learning tools it uses to detect content that violates its policies.

What disclosing does not buy you

A verified human Creator. Clause 6 requires you to upload a valid form of ID and two photos of you, and to submit further age or identity verification whenever OnlyFans asks. A label on the content does not change who the account belongs to.

Rights in the content. Clause 8 makes you warrant, for each item you upload, that you own it and its intellectual property or hold every licence needed to post and monetise it.

Written consent for anything third-party. A reference photo of someone else, a borrowed likeness, a cloned voice: clause 8 requires "all rights, licenses, written consents and releases" for third-party material. This is the obligation that undoes most "but I labelled it" arguments.

Describing the content truthfully. The same clause warrants that content is "as described by you" and of satisfactory quality, "including any statement or representation which you make about the nature of the Content". Present AI content as a real shoot and it is this warranty that breaks, separately from the labelling clause.

Record-keeping. "You agree to act as custodian of records for all Content you Upload" - clause 8 again, and it applies to AI content like everything else.

Personal responsibility an agency cannot absorb. Clause 8 is explicit: if someone else assists with the operation of your Creator account, "this does not affect your legal responsibility". OnlyFans' relationship is with you.

The standard adult content itself has to meet, which is not in this document. Clause 7, "Adult material", is two sentences long: it has you acknowledge that some content on OnlyFans is adult material and it disclaims OnlyFans' responsibility for how or where you view it. It sets no standard of its own, so what adult content may actually show is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy and the Community Guidelines - the documents the AI clause defers to, the first of which is the one no automated reader can open. A #ai caption moves none of that.

The licence you grant, which is the question most AI creators ask next. Clause 16 has you confirm you own or have obtained every right needed, then grants OnlyFans a broad licence over the content - broad enough to include "creating derivative works" and to improve platform features - with moral rights waived where the law allows. The same clause draws one line in your favour, "We will never sell your Content to other platforms", and an #ai label changes neither half of it.

The short version

Yes: OnlyFans' Terms of Use do not ban AI content, they require it to be labelled. The exact duty is to caption each post with a signifier such as #ai or #AIGenerated, clearly and conspicuously - and the label is additive, because AI content "must comply with our Terms of Service" in full.

A verified human still owns the account - a valid ID plus two photos, with more verification on request - and you still need every right and every written consent for any third-party likeness or voice. You do not have to name the tool: that requirement belongs to paid advertising, not to AI. Unlabelled content risks suspension, deletion and forfeited Creator Earnings, and you have six months to dispute.

OnlyFans can change these terms without notice, so re-read onlyfans.com/terms before you publish. Every obligation in the checklist at the foot of this page is read from that page, dated August 2024, checked 14 October 2026.

Can a fully synthetic persona run an OnlyFans account?

We could not verify this either way, and we would rather say so than guess. The Terms of Use contain no clause requiring the Creator to appear in the content. What they do require is a verified human account holder who uploads ID and two photos of themselves and stays accountable for every post. So the AI clause does not settle the question; whatever settles it would be in the Acceptable Use Policy or the Community Guidelines, and the Acceptable Use Policy is the document that is not programmatically readable.

Do not treat any third-party summary of that policy as authority, including a confident one. Open onlyfans.com/acceptable-use-policy in a browser and read it yourself before you build a business on the assumption.

How to write a caption that satisfies the clause

A worked example, because the clause gives none: "Shot this one in the studio - #ai". The signifier is present, it is on the first screen, and it is not buried behind a hashtag block.

The rules of thumb follow the wording. Put the signifier in the caption of each post, not only once in the bio - the clause says "captioned". Keep it before the hashtag block rather than at the end of it. Use a plain signifier such as #ai or #AIGenerated rather than something you invented. Label every post rather than the profile once. Do not name the generator.

Label AI voice notes and AI media sent in DMs too. The glossary defines "Content" as "any material Uploaded to OnlyFans by any User" including audio, text and "any other material whatsoever", and defines "Upload" as "publish, display, post, type, input, or otherwise share". A voice note is content and a DM is an upload.

If a human shoot and AI content both appear on the same page, label the AI ones. The warranty you are protecting there is "as described by you" - the one that turns a presentation problem into a contractual one.

What happens if you don't label

Clause 15 is the enforcement clause, and it is blunt. OnlyFans may suspend or delete your account with 30 days' notice, at any time, for any reason. On a breach it believes to be serious or repeated - attempted or threatened included - it may act with no warning at all: suspend or delete the account and the content, pause Fan Payments, withhold Creator Earnings, and suspend, refund or cancel Fan Payments while it reviews.

If it confirms the breach, it may delete the account and the content and treat Creator Earnings as forfeited. It will notify you with a statement of reasons. Account terminations and content deactivations go to the Appeals Policy; forfeited earnings go to the Complaints Policy. And there is a clock: "If you do not dispute our decision within six months of Notification, you waive the right to dispute the decision."

Put the two sides next to each other honestly. The label costs three characters in a caption. The downside is the account and the balance in it.

OnlyFans vs Fanvue vs Fansly vs your own site

OnlyFans - AI content allowed? Yes, with a label; there is no prohibition in the Terms of Use. How you must disclose: in the caption of the post, with a signifier such as #ai or #AIGenerated, "clearly and conspicuously". Who may appear: the verified account holder is accountable, the Terms of Use set no "must be you" rule, and the Acceptable Use Policy could not be read. Source: onlyfans.com/terms, page dated August 2024, checked 14 October 2026.

Fanvue - on the account of its own help centre, AI content is allowed and welcomed explicitly, including fully AI-generated creators. How you must disclose: clearly and prominently, in the bio, the caption or as a watermark - looser on placement than OnlyFans. Who may appear: no real person other than the account owner, nobody who resembles anyone under 18, and content based on a real person requires that person to be verified - stricter on who. Source: Fanvue's own help centre, the articles "AI-generated content" and "Is AI content allowed on Fanvue?", read 14 October 2026 - Fanvue can revise them, so re-read both before you move a page there.

Fansly - not verified, on all three counts. We have no readable source for its AI stance as of 14 October 2026, so this page states nothing about it. A row that says "we could not verify this" is what makes the rest of the comparison worth reading.

Your own site, selling direct - the rules are yours, plus your payment processor's and your local law's. Disclosure is your choice in form but increasingly expected in substance, and it protects you against chargebacks from fans who feel misled. Who may appear is your choice too, within law and consent.

The recommendation turns on one question: is there a verified human whose look and body the content shows? If yes, either platform works, and the only difference that matters is where the label goes. If the persona is fully synthetic, only one of the two answers in writing: Fanvue's help centre, read 14 October 2026, allows fully AI-generated media outright, while OnlyFans defers the question to an Acceptable Use Policy no automated reader can open. Read the OnlyFans policy in a browser before you build on it.

Making the content once you know the rules

OFMAI is the production step, not the compliance step. You create one character - from your own reference photos if the model is you or someone who has consented, or designed from a text description - and then generate photos, video, voice notes and image edits of that same character, with the same look and the same body in every output. It runs in the browser, with no GPU and no local setup.

What it costs, from our own price list: Starter is 30 credits a month for $9.99, Pro is 100 credits for $24.99, Business is 300 credits for $49.99 and Agency is 1,000 credits for $149.99. Annual billing saves 25%.

What a credit buys: an image from 2 credits (3 for 18+), an image edit 2 credits, a video from 7 credits (10 for 18+) and rising with resolution and length, a voice clone 10 credits, a voice designed from a description 8 credits, a voice note from 2 credits. Failed generations are refunded automatically, so your cost per usable asset is your cost per asset.

Three limits stated plainly, because this page is about rules. OFMAI does not post to OnlyFans and does not add your #ai caption - you export the files and publish them yourself, and the label is your action. OFMAI is not a CRM and not an AI chatter; it does not touch your fan inbox. And OFMAI's own policy is stricter than this question implies: 18+ only, no minors, no non-consensual content and no real person's likeness without their consent, so it cannot be used to generate the likeness of someone whose consent you do not have - label or no label.

Does the #ai label satisfy each obligation?

  • Labelling AI content, "clearly and conspicuously captioned as AI Generated Content with a signifier such as #ai, or #AIGenerated": yes - this is the clause
  • Naming the tool you used: not applicable - that duty belongs to the advertising rule, not to the AI one
  • Verified account holder, a valid ID plus two photos with more verification on request: no - the label changes nothing
  • Rights in the content, owning it or holding every licence needed to post and monetise it: no
  • Third-party likeness or voice, "all rights, licenses, written consents and releases": no
  • Describing content accurately, "as described by you" and of satisfactory quality: partly - the label is one part of describing it honestly
  • Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines, which the glossary folds into "our Terms of Service": no
  • Record-keeping, the Creator as "custodian of records" for everything uploaded: no
  • Responsibility when an agency or a chatter runs the page, which stays with the account holder: no

Frequently asked questions

Does OnlyFans allow AI-generated content if I disclose it?

Yes. The Terms of Use contain no prohibition on AI content; clause 20, "Transparency requirements", requires it to be "clearly and conspicuously captioned as AI Generated Content with a signifier such as #ai, or #AIGenerated". The same sentence requires AI content to comply with the rest of the Terms of Service, so the label is a duty added to the others rather than a pass on them. Read on onlyfans.com/terms, page dated August 2024, checked 14 October 2026.

Is #ai enough, or do I need #AIGenerated?

Either reads as compliant. The clause offers both as examples of "a signifier such as", so neither tag is mandatory. What matters is that the signifier is in the caption of the post and that it is conspicuous rather than buried in a block of hashtags.

Can I just put "AI" in my bio instead of in every caption?

The clause says "captioned", and the glossary defines Content per item uploaded, so label each post. Fanvue is the looser one here: its help centre accepts the bio, the caption or a watermark. OnlyFans asks for the caption.

Does labelling make otherwise-banned content allowed?

No. "AI Generated content must comply with our Terms of Service", and the glossary in clause 2 defines that phrase as eight documents at once: the Terms of Use, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Referral Program Terms, the Platform to Business Regulation Terms, the Complaints Policy, the Appeals Policy, the UK VAT Policy and the Community Guidelines. A label is not consent, is not a licence and is not age verification.

Can a fully AI persona with no real person behind it run an OnlyFans account?

We could not verify it either way. The Terms of Use require a verified human account holder - a valid ID and two photos - but set no rule that the Creator must appear in the content; the Acceptable Use Policy, which the AI clause defers to, is served behind a bot check and could not be read on 14 October 2026. Read it in a browser before you build on the assumption. The route that needs no interpretation is an AI clone of the verified account holder, captioned #ai.

Can I post AI content of myself on OnlyFans?

Yes, and it is the simplest case there is: the verified account holder is the person the content shows, so the identity, consent and third-party-rights questions are already answered and nothing is left to interpretation. What is left is the labelling duty - a signifier such as #ai in the caption of every post, not once in the bio.

What happens if I don't label AI content on OnlyFans?

Clause 15 lets OnlyFans suspend or delete the account with 30 days' notice for any reason, and act with no warning at all on a breach it considers serious or repeated: suspend or delete the account and the content, pause Fan Payments and treat Creator Earnings as forfeited. It notifies you with a statement of reasons, and you have six months to dispute through the Appeals Policy or, for earnings, the Complaints Policy.

Do I need to say which AI tool I used?

No. Item (a) of the same clause, which governs paid advertising, requires the brand and the payer to be named. The AI rule in item (b) requires only the signifier - nothing about the tool, the model or the studio.

Is Fanvue easier than OnlyFans for AI content?

On disclosure, yes: Fanvue's help centre accepts the bio, the caption or a watermark and states that it welcomes fully AI-generated content. On who may appear it is stricter - no real person other than the account owner, nobody who resembles a minor, and content based on a real person requires that person to be verified. Those are its own help centre articles "AI-generated content" and "Is AI content allowed on Fanvue?", read 14 October 2026; re-check both platforms' live rules before you commit a roster to either.

How do I actually make the content once I know the rules?

OFMAI builds one character from your own reference photos or from a text description, then generates photos, video, image edits and voice notes of that same character with the same look and the same body throughout. Plans run from $9.99 to $149.99 a month. OFMAI exports the files - you publish them and you add the #ai caption yourself.
